Falmouth High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to support our high school learners as a full-time Educational Technician III, grades 9-12 building-based substitute. The role of a building sub changes daily and is determined by our front office staff who fill the teacher/ed tech absences. While a general skill set that can work in our classrooms is expected, a specific expertise in Math or Science is preferred.

The ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm working with students and is flexible.
  • Would be willing to support classrooms, small groups, individual students, and possibly fill in as a long term substitute, if needed.
  • Would be able to demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills.

Falmouth High School is located on a 100-acre district K-12 campus in Falmouth Maine, a coastal community bordering the city of Portland. Our campus features extensive fields, trails, gardens and hoop houses, and rich opportunities for collaboration between schools. Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with high school-aged children is preferred.
  • Candidates must have or be eligible for the Maine Education Technician Level III authorization through the Maine Department of Education, as well as an approved district run background check.

Additional:

  • Pay will be based on relevant experience and DOE certification. Ed Tech III pay rate range is $23.60 - $29.66/hr.
