We are working exclusively with an entrepreneurial investment and development business looking for a Development Director to join their London office. The company has established family office funding lines and is managing several £80+ million residential schemes in development, with a focused acquisitions pipeline.

Location: London office 5 days a week
The Role: The Development Director will join a small London team and will have full autonomy over the development lifecycle, from initial appraisal and acquisition to sale/lease, reporting to the CEO and shareholders. Current projects include mid to high-end residential-led mixed-use schemes and BTR units. Projects are delivered with an ESG focus, utilizing modern construction methods and managed via construction management contracts through their in-house contracting business. The Director will oversee acquisition, analysis, commercial, and project/construction management teams, integrating all development aspects.
Requirements:
- MRICS qualification preferred but not essential
- Degree in Real Estate, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
- Experience in residential development, especially multi-unit residential PRS/BTR developments, but other asset classes are acceptable
- Experience managing the development cycle from acquisition to practical completion
- Solid technical, program, and contract experience, including JCT D&B, traditional, and Construction Management contracts
- Proactive approach with strong cost and deliverables management skills
- Engaging, commercially savvy, and ambitious
