We are working with a successful central London high-end residential development and construction business with an exceptional portfolio of projects. Due to further growth, they are looking to hire a Senior / Managing level Quantity Surveyor to their team.
Remuneration: £80,000 - £90,000 + Benefits + profit linked Bonus
The Role: The Senior / Managing Quantity Surveyor will join a driven team who oversee the 360 design, development and cost management of some of London’s finest residences. Acting as developer contractor, the Quantity Surveyor will have involvement from early estimating / cost planning stages through value engineering, monthly valuations and variations, CVRs, to final accounts and management reporting. Based in the London office, you will oversee new build and refurbishment projects valued between £3 million and c. £30 million in addition to having management responsibility for two Project Quantity Surveyors. The position will be client facing, handling queries and fixing issues to complete developments in line with the brief. They are a dynamic business and due to their growth plans, they are looking for bright, commercially astute and entrepreneurial individuals who are keen to grow their careers.
Requirements:
- MRICS / MCIOB qualified with a BSc in Quantity Surveying
- 10+ years’ experience running pre and post contract cost management across projects preferably within the high-end residential sector
- Preferable if you have experience in both main contractor and consultancy environments
- Good understanding of JCT contracts, estimating, value engineering, variations, CVRs, cash flow management and final accounts
- Good verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
