Falmouth Fairfax are working in partnership with a leading commercial provider with multiple sites across Southern England. They are looking for a Project Manager ideally with some design and facilities management experience to join their team. The role will be based in the East London office 5 days a week with travel to sites in London and the Southeast.

Remuneration: £55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits + Bonus

The role: The Project Manager will be joining a family office who have developed an exceptional presence and offering within the UK nursery sector. The Project Manager will have a relatively diverse role overseeing the new build and fit-out of new nursery/kindergartens circa £1 - £2 million per site in addition to CAPEX refurbishment across the existing assets circa £50k - £500k. The core role will cover the initial feasibility and DD at acquisitions stage through appointing and managing external consultant and contractor teams across design, planning and delivery to hand over of the completed nurseries to the operation teams.

As an asset owner they are keen for the individual to be commercially astute and detail focused looking at the long-term management of the assets in terms of finishes and materials used. Experience of the nursery/education sector would be an advantage, as well as experience in design and CAD but they are open to driven people who have good experience of JCT contracts and the management of office, retail, hotel or leisure schemes.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Project Management, Building Surveying, Facilities or Quantity Surveying
  • Professionally qualified preferable but not essential
  • Experience delivering fit-out and refurbishment projects valued between £200,000 and c.£3 million, advantageous if this is in the nursery, leisure, or education space with a focus on design.
  • Experience in existing asset CAPEX planned maintenance and facilities management.
  • Good experience of consultant and contractor team management under JCT contracts as well as CDM and building regulations.
  • Good experience of MS Office suite, CAD and presentations. Technically focused with a good eye for detail and project commercials.
