We are currently working with a London based client who have a mixed-use estate holding comprising of heritage Victorian assets and more modern buildings. They are currently looking for a Capital Projects Manager / Building Surveyor to oversee their cross-campus capital projects and PPM.
Remuneration: £55,000 - £62,500 Exceptional benefits package including health, enhanced pension and holiday.
The Role: The Project Manager / Building Surveyor will become an integral part of a small estates team who oversee an exquisite private school estate. The role will involve the planning and management of both their capital projects programme and their planned preventative maintenance programme. Projects will cover a range of refurbishments and fabric enhancements across education, office, laboratory, sports and ancillary buildings. You will have responsibility for the planning, tender and administration of the external consultant and contractor teams under JCT minor works contracts. There will be high level reporting and decision making with senior stakeholders and close liaison with the wider faculty teams. They are looking for a proactive individual who will oversee multiple projects across the estate and who has a focus on asset protection, heritage and regeneration.
Requirements:
- HND or BSc degree in Project Management or related field
- 3 - 4 years’ experience in project management preferably working across a wide spectrum of asset classes such as education, sports and office.
- Understanding of IOSH, JCT contracts and estate management
- Sound technical ability in defect diagnosis, building regs, programme management and dealing with contractors, consultants and occupiers.
