We are seeking to appoint an End User Computing Manager to join our Directorate Management Team. This key leadership role contributes to the development and delivery of services that underpin the university's academic and operational success. This senior post is offered as a permanent, full‑time position working 37.5 hours per week. The closing date for the position is Monday 25 May 2026.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will lead a team of staff shaping and delivering the technical direction and strategy for all end‑user computing services, covering physical and virtual devices—including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices running Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems—as well as AV infrastructure and peripherals.
  • The role will oversee lifecycle management, standardisation, and optimisation of end‑user technologies, and will manage device support and incident and service requests to deliver high‑quality support to the user community.
  • In addition to leading and developing the team, the incumbent will take an active, hands‑on role in delivering individual projects and activities while collaborating across the organisation to support other teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven senior leadership experience in End User Computing, Workplace Technology, or a comparable IT service within a complex organisation.
  • Experience managing enterprise‑scale endpoint environments across Windows, macOS and Linux, including lifecycle, security and standardisation.
  • Proven ability to shape and deliver EUC service strategy and roadmaps, balancing transformation with BAU delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working confidently with academic, professional services and senior leaders to align services to organisational need.
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams, with clear accountability for performance, service outcomes and customer experience.
