We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced

Archives & Special Collections Officer to join our Archives & Special Collections team at the Penryn Campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of professional archives and special collections services across Falmouth University and the University of Exeter's Penryn Campus.

Working with diverse collections and stakeholders, you will help ensure effective access, collections management and service development.

As part of a small, busy and innovative team, you will contribute to teaching, learning, research and public engagement while helping to shape the future of archive services in an increasingly digital environment.

The successful candidate will have

  • Proven professional experience working in an archive, special collections or similar heritage environment.
  • Experience of archives collections management, including cataloguing, documentation and access services.
  • Knowledge of professional archives standards and best practice.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with a wide range of users and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • An interest in the digital aspects of collections management, including digital preservation and improving online access to collections, would be advantageous.

This post is offered on a permanent, part-time, 30 hours per week basis, working across Monday-Friday. The position is campus based.
