About The Role
We are seeking to recruit Associate Lecturers in Fine Art to join our team to teach and assess both studio and theory-based delivery across all three years of the subject. These exciting roles will be based at the Falmouth Campus with some larger group lectures and critical studies seminars.
We are specifically seeking practising contemporary artists with an active exhibition and practice-based research profile, who can contribute directly to studio-based teaching on BA Fine Art at Years 2 and 3.
About You
Educated to degree level, or having equivalent industry experience, the ideal candidates will have evidence of professional visual arts practice and a demonstrable engagement with, and interest in, the dialogues, debates and concepts surrounding contemporary arts and culture. You will have excellent communication skills, and the commitment to deliver an excellent learning experience for students.
Candidates should posses an established contemporary art practice and experience of supporting students in developing their own artistic work, as opposed to expertise which is primarily curatorial or theoretical.
We are looking to hear from candidates who also have the following skills/experience:
- An understanding of the principles and practicalities of face to face and online learning
- Strong connections with industry and professional practice
- Excellent digital literacy
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
For further details on the skills/experience required for this role, please see the full job description above.
This is fixed term, part-time, hourly paid position based at the Falmouth campus.
The closing date for the position is Sunday 1 November 2026.
