An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stores Assistant to join The Games Academy. Reporting to the Technical Operations Team Leader, the key focus of this role is to provide support to students who are seeking to loan equipment, the safe and appropriate storage of technical equipment, accurate and timely data input into the Falmouth Stores booking system and ensuring that the technical stores area is kept tidy and well maintained.

You will also be required to provide set up, maintenance, testing and demonstrations to students, teaching and research staff as well as external customers.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who have experience of working within a client facing environment. You will be a customer focused individual with excellent communication skills, key to this role is the ability to engage with students.

You will have knowledge of Windows Laptops, Wacom Intuos Pro Drawing tablets and ideally ipads, Quest 3 VR headsets and 3D printing. Alongside these key skills you will also have a flexible approach towards working hours, which will include evenings and occasional weekend work.

We would like to hear from you if you have the following skills/experience:

  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to work under your own initiative and within a team.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all users of the technical stores area.
  • Attention to detail to keep the equipment in perfect working order.

The hours for this position will be from 9.00am to 7.00pm on Thursdays and Fridays, 36 weeks per year on a term time basis. Occasional flexibility in working hours will be required.
