This post is within Falmouth University’sFaculty of Creative Arts & Communication (encompassing Falmouth School of Art, the Institute of Photography and the School of Communication).
The Faculty Administration team is instrumental in contributing to Falmouth’s excellent student experience; contracting Visiting Lecturers from across the creative industries to work with our students, arranging local, regional or international study trips, purchasing materials for student shows, exhibitions and events, taking part in Student Staff Liaison Group meetings, supporting academic staff to progress their research projects - we’re at the heart of the faculty.
Our team provides administrative support, advice and guidance to academics across the faculty. This post will primarily support courses within Falmouth School of Art and involve working closely with another Senior Administrator who shares the week for that department. It may require providing cover for other Senior Administrators in our team who primarily support the faculty’s other two departments.

About You
You will have a proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach, with a proven ability to provide support in a busy environment. The ability to work collaboratively as part of the Faculty Administration Team is essential, and having worked administratively in higher or further education would be beneficial to the role.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills/experience:
- Proficiency to a high level in Microsoft Office applications, including using Teams and SharePoint for file and document management and Outlook for meeting scheduling and email.
- Confidence in mastering a range of systems, platforms and processes and in taking opportunities to inform continuous improvement of some of these.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with colleagues and external contacts, with proven ability to convey information in a clear and accurate manner and a desire to resolve issues.
- Confidence to work unsupervised, forward planning and managing your workload and prioritising appropriately to meet multiple deadlines.

This is a fixed term maternity cover from September 2026 to June 2027, part-time position working 28 hours per week with a working pattern of 9am-5pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The post is based at our Falmouth Campus, with the possibility of a hybrid working style for part of the week.
