Falmouth Exeter Plus’s Facilities Team are responsible for the management of our beautiful campuses based in Falmouth and Penryn, in the heart of Cornwall. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic Gardener to join our busy and focused team on a permanent, full time basis. Working under the guidance of the Grounds Supervisor, this is a key role where you will be required to maintain the grounds and gardens at the Penryn and Falmouth Campuses to a professional standard of presentation for the benefit of staff, students and local community. It is a varied role and represents a great opportunity to join a close-knit team.

About You

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, hardworking and friendly, preferably with experience in general grounds maintenance. You will have a good basic knowledge of tool and machinery use and maintenance, alongside a willingness to work in all weather conditions. You will have a good level of fitness to enable working on different terrains and to carry out heavy work. You will have a good knowledge of Health and Safety and its applications, and an aptitude to develop new skills within the team.

This position is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week contract working 07:30am to 15:30am 5 days per week. Weekend working will be required on occasions throughout the year. Please ensure that you are able to commit to these working hours prior to applying.
