We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Front of House Assistant to join our operational Production and Technical Team. You will provide a customer-focused level of support for the out-of-hours use of the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts (AMATA), Falmouth University’s performing arts department, working with a variety of stakeholders including students, University staff and external customers. The successful person should have a passion for customer service with the ability to deal with a range of stakeholders in a busy multifunctional building. AMATA functions as a teaching and learning facility, as well as the University’s Arts Centre. The Front of House Assistant role will support both aspects of the department, and we are looking for someone as passionate as us about delivering our goals.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience in a customer facing role with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Alongside these key skills you will have strong organisation skills, with the ability to follow existing systems of work. We would like to hear from candidates who can also offer the following:

  • Effective communicator who has the confidence to make a positive first impression.
  • Experience of being in a customer facing role where high level of customer service are required.
  • Excellent computing skills including MS Office based applications.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and within a team, developing and maintaining good working relationships.

This is a permanent, part-time, 15 hours a week working 40 weeks per year position. The working hours will be Sunday 09:00 – 17:00, Monday 18:00 – 22:00, Tuesday 18:00 – 22:00.
