We are seeking to appoint an End User Computing Manager to join our Directorate Management Team. This is a key leadership role, contributing to the ongoing development and delivery of services that underpin the universities’ academic and operational success.
The successful candidate will lead a team of staff shaping and delivering the technical direction and strategy for all ‘end user computing services’ covering physical and virtual devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices running Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, as well as AV infrastructure and peripherals. Leading lifecycle management, standardisation, and optimisation of end user technologies, the role will oversee device support and incident and service requests to deliver prompt, professional, and high-quality support to our user community.
While this is a leadership and management position, the small team structure means the successful candidate will take an active, hands-on role in delivering their own suite of projects and activities alongside leading and developing the team and working across the organisation to support other teams. It's an exciting time to join FX Plus, as our university partners continue to move ahead with ambitious 2030 growth plans. This role is ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience, providing an opportunity to lead service improvements and transformation initiatives with a clear and meaningful impact on the day-to-day experience of staff and students.
About You
The ideal candidate would have the following experience:
- Proven senior leadership experience in End User Computing, Workplace Technology, or a comparable IT service within a complex organisation.
- Experience managing enterprise scale endpoint environments across Windows, macOS and Linux, including lifecycle, security and standardisation.
- Proven ability to shape and deliver EUC service strategy and roadmaps, balancing transformation with BAU delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working confidently with academic, professional services and senior leaders to align services to organisational need.
- Experience leading and developing technical teams, with clear accountability for performance, service outcomes and customer experience.
This senior post is offered on a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.
