We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Building Surveyor to join our Estates team at Falmouth Exeter Plus. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a range of estates projects that enhance the facilities supporting our partner universities and their vibrant learning communities.

As Building Surveyor, you’ll take the lead on the surveying, planning, coordination, and delivery of a range of projects, from strategic lifecycle works to major building works. You’ll manage projects through all stages, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing contractors and monitoring performance, while ensuring minimal disruption to our campuses. Supported by a highly skilled estates team, you’ll have the autonomy to shape your portfolio of works to ensure the best outcomes for our university partners.

About You

Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you’ll be a highly motivated and detail-focused professional with a strong background in Building Surveying within estates and/or construction. You’ll bring both technical knowledge and excellent people skills, able to balance the demands of complex projects with the effective management of diverse stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in a building surveying role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety best practice.
  • Meticulous record keeping and experience producing documentation to support investment and strategic maintenance decisions.

This post is offered on a permanent, full-time, 37.5 hour a week contract working across Monday-Friday.
