Today, Fallprotec UK is an independent disruptor in the fall protection and façade access sector that has grown over 50% in the last 12 months predominately due to special projects and partnerships with a wide range of specialist rope access and height safety companies. Your task is to:
- Design components according to the technical requirements and specifications.
- Optimise the concepts and designs with analytical and mechanical assessments.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve integrated and optimised solutions.
- Create conceptual and manufacturing shop drawings (2D and 3D).
- Be involved within the project management process as project designer (possibility to evolve as a project manager).
- Contribute to improving systems and communication with partners, processes or any other activity within the company.
Essential Requirements
- Education: Degree in Mechanical/Industrial designing/drafting.
- Experience: Industrial and Construction related, preference having worked in the fall protection industry.
Experiences/Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Design experience (2D and 3D). Mandatory INVENTOR - AUTOCAD.
- Good understanding of technical requirements to translate them into drawings.
- Sense of responsibility and urgency - Showing initiative, being proactive.
- Good analytical and problem-solving capability. Must be detail focused.
- Able to work under pressure and in autonomy.
- English: Able to communicate within a technical environment. Any other language would be an advantage.
Remuneration package: depending on experience. Location: 2-3 days a week at offices in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
