About Us
Fallow Workshops are makers of fine kitchens and cabinetry. We use traditional methods to achieve beautiful joinery of the highest quality. We specialise in high-quality shaker kitchens tailored to our clients’ needs. As a small studio, we are thoughtful about the projects we take on - which means our clients get our time, attention and expertise from first sketch to final fitting. We are at an exciting early stage in our journey, scaling fast and benefitting from a fantastic growth trajectory driven by strong client referrals and marketing. We are looking for an experienced and talented individual to cover a maternity leave period - joining us at a brilliant time as we grow. This is a primarily sales-focused role.
The Role
Alongside Angus and the team, you’ll be responsible for bringing new clients on board, handling enquiries, running consultations, and guiding prospective clients from that first conversation all the way through to a signed project. You’ll manage a busy diary of online and in-person sales consultations, clearly explain how we work and what makes our kitchens special, and use your design eye to create layouts that excite clients and help close the sale. Once a project is underway, you’ll continue as the client’s main point of contact through to a successful installation.
What the Role involves
- Managing a busy diary of online and in-person sales consultations - introducing Fallow Workshops, explaining how we work, and selling our kitchens with warmth and expertise
- Converting enquiries into confirmed projects - qualifying leads, understanding client needs, and guiding them confidently through our process to a signed brief
- Creating compelling design concepts and layouts using Canva (or other tools) that bring a client’s vision to life and help close the sale
- Managing communications, deadlines and client expectations throughout the project
- Using our CRM and Asana (project management) to keep everything on track
- Liaising with our makers, fitters and suppliers to ensure a smooth installation
- Following up on leads thoughtfully and persistently - we’re known for our friendly, attentive approach and this is key to our conversion rate
We're Looking for Someone who
- Has experience in interiors, kitchen design, or a project management role in a related field
- Is confident working with clients and guiding them through a design process with care and professionalism
- Has a good technical understanding of plans and drawings
- Has a strong eye for detail
- Can juggle multiple projects and deadlines with calm, clear communication
- Loves working with people and offering excellent customer service
- Is proactive, resourceful and happy working independently as well as collaboratively
- Is proficient in standard office and design tools
Nice to have (but not essential)
- Experience in kitchen or cabinetry design
- Familiarity with a CRM, Asana or similar tools
- A design-related qualification
What we Offer
- A creative, fun and supportive working environment in a small, passionate team
- The opportunity to join a fast-growing business at an exciting stage, with genuine potential to become a permanent role
- Hands-on experience across design, operations and client care
- Competitive base salary in line with experience, plus commission reflecting the sales nature of the role
- 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
How to Apply
Please send your CV and a cover letter to the address below. In your cover letter, we’d love to hear about relevant projects you’ve worked on, examples of kitchens or spaces you’ve designed or sold, and any achievements you’re particularly proud of - whether that’s a challenging brief you navigated, a sale you’re pleased with, or a client relationship that went really well. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - early submissions are encouraged.
Please note: As a small team, we would love cover letters that are personalised and not AI-generated. The latter will not be considered. We look forward to hearing from you!
