The Falkland Islands Government is seeking to recruit an Advanced Practitioner who will be experienced in all areas of Adult Services. You will work with vulnerable adults within the community but you must be prepared to work flexibly as our role is generic, spanning the whole spectrum of tasks and client groups due to the small size of the community. Developing policy for Adult and Children’s social care will be a key element of this role.
You will be a qualified social worker with five years post qualifying experience within Adult’s Services and will have a flexible and adaptable approach and a commitment to quality. You should also be registered with a relevant registration body. You will hold a post qualifying award, Best Interest Assessor and being qualified in Achieving Best Evidence would be an advantage. Experience of Signs of Safety would be beneficial.
You will take a lead role in developing and delivering the social work service to vulnerable adults and their families. Your work will include leading adult safeguarding investigations, undertaking assessments and reviews, policy development and community services development.
The Package:
- Fixed Term Contract up to 4 years.
- Salary Range, basic starting salary £43,141 - £49,590 (depending on qualifications and experience) rising to £53,055.
- Eligibility for a 25% Gratuity (taxable).
- 41 days paid leave, 30 days annual leave and 11 public holidays.
- Relocation Allowance, to help with moving costs.
- Flights Package for you and recognised dependents at the beginning and end of contract, and additional annual return flights contingent on the duration of the contract.
