Falkirk Council is seeking to recruit a Support for Learning Assistant at core level for Carmuirs Primary School. The postholder will be required to undertake a range of whole school support activities with regard to the general supervision, safety, care and wellbeing of pupils, particularly within the dining room, outside areas, lavatories and on education excursions as required.

Within the school, the postholder will seek overall direction and will carry out tasks determined and assigned by the designated teacher. Postholders would be required to fulfil the majority of the criteria described under Core descriptions, but not expected to undertake all tasks under this heading.

Good communication skills are essential and the role will require supporting children with ASN needs. You should enjoy working as part of a team and be able to form positive relationships.

You will work 12.5 hours per week on a term time basis. This post is temporary until June 2026.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
