We seek to recruit a skilled roadworker to Falkirk Council Roads Services. The successful candidate will be working with the Roads Operations Team undertaking civils works, such as kerbing, footway upgrades, block paving and any other associated works. You may also undertake a variety of road maintenance and construction tasks including laying concrete and asphalt, temporary traffic management including erecting and removing signs, barriers, and cones and other related roads maintenance activities.
Applicants for this post should be able to demonstrate practical knowledge and experience of the works listed above. A high attention to health and safety on site is also required.
An SVQ Level 2 in Highway Maintenance or equivalent is desirable. A current driving licence is essential, as you will be required to use Falkirk Council’s vehicles and plant on site.
