We are seeking a temporary library assistant who is committed to delivering a high quality service within a very busy Learning Resource Service. You will be part of a small team providing library support for all educational establishments in the Falkirk Council area.
You will have a good standard of education in literacy and numeracy and be accurate, self-motivated with appropriate digital skills. You will have good organisational and communication skills and have a flexible and efficient approach to work. As well as demonstrating enthusiasm, initiative and commitment, you must be able to work well in a team and relate to people in a friendly manner.
You are requested to contact Yvonne Manning, Principal Librarian, to arrange an initial visit to the Learning Resource Service. This is to familiarise candidates with the working environment and main tasks of the post in advance of the formal interview process.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
