Job Description Falkirk Council is looking to recruit three Support for Learning Assistants for Larbert Village Primary School to support children who have additional needs.
These posts will be temporary until October 2027 in the first instance.
You will work with school staff to undertake a wide range of support activities regarding children’s learning, emotional regulation, communication, supervision, safety, care, and general well-being.
You may be required to provide more intensive support for children with additional support needs to ensure that individual plans are carried out regularly and effectively.
Support for Learning Assistants are crucial to the successful delivery of our services to children and are valued team members.
Experience of working with children, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships are essential; you should enjoy working and contributing as part of a team and be flexible in your approach.
Knowledge and use of communication systems such as Makaton and PECS would be desirable; training would be available to successful candidates.
You will work 27.5 hours per week on a term-time basis.
Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday, approximately 9am-3pm.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
