Carmuirs Primary School, Early Learning and Childcare Class is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Assistant who enjoys working with young children and their families. The successful candidate will assist in the provision of high-quality play and lunchtime experiences within the ELC settings. This is an ideal position to develop and progress into a career within Early Learning and Childcare.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership. All support workers must have either obtained the benchmark qualification for their role or be working towards meeting the qualification condition required as part of your registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). If you have to achieve the benchmark qualification you will have three years in which to do so, and this would be through achieving the SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 6. Successful candidates must register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting in their role and will gain registration within six months.
The post available is for a 16 hour contract and will be Monday to Thursday 11.00 am to 2.00 pm and Friday 10.30 am to 2.30 pm and is term time. The post is permanent within Falkirk Council Children’s Services. The salary is adjusted accordingly for part time and term time contract.
