We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master with 8+ years of experience to lead multiple teams delivering small changes, application enhancements, defect fixes, and technical debt initiatives for .NET and Progress-based applications. The candidate should be skilled in both Scrum and Kanban methodologies, proficient in Azure DevOps and Jira, and experienced in working with insurance technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach multiple Scrum and Kanban teams across planning, execution, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Plan and coordinate delivery of small changes, technical debt, defect fixes, and maintenance activities.
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, clients, and business stakeholders to manage priorities and dependencies.
- Identify and remove delivery impediments, risks, and cross-team blockers.
- Monitor delivery metrics, including velocity, throughput, cycle time, sprint progress, and backlog health.
- Maintain transparent status reporting and dashboards using Azure DevOps.
- Promote Agile best practices, team accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Mandatory Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Scrum Master, Agile Delivery, or Agile Program Management roles.
- Proven experience leading and coordinating multiple Agile teams.
- Strong expertise in Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Hands-on proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira.
- Experience managing application maintenance, small enhancements, technical debt, and production support backlogs.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and team-player attributes.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed, cross-functional, and multi-vendor teams.
Secondary Skills
- Good understanding of the Insurance industry, processes, and technology delivery environments.
- Experience with applications built using .NET and Progress technologies.
- Exposure to Angular, React, PHP, and SQL Server.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, release management, QA, and production support processes.
- Experience managing technical debt, application modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile metrics, reporting, governance, and delivery planning.
- Experience coordinating dependencies across technology, business, and support teams.
Experience and Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant Agile delivery experience, including significant experience as a Scrum Master.
- Certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple teams in enterprise application environments.
- Experience in the Insurance domain is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
