We are looking for an Agile Delivery Lead (ADL) to join our IT Services team to deliver and maintain critical infrastructure services for the global Hiscox business. Our ADLs have responsibility for the coordination of the day-to-day activities of the squads that make up our IT Services value streams. As an experienced Agile Delivery Lead/Project Manager, you will perform a hybrid role where you will be expected to coach the squad/s to continuously improve their Agile ways of working, alongside having delivery responsibility for initiatives or assigned work. This role would suit seasoned Delivery Leads or Project Managers who have operated within agile environments, as well as candidates coming from an Infrastructure Engineering background with a desire to move toward Delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Apply end-to-end delivery across any allocated initiatives/projects including financial management/reconciliation of spend and balancing of resources.
- It is essential to have hands-on delivery of infrastructure or technical projects/initiatives.
- Guide and support a cross-disciplined squad utilising Agile values, principles and practices to deliver value to our business.
- Utilise JIRA boards to facilitate change delivery by actively participating in the collation and prioritisation of the backlog.
- Help the squad to meet their commitments, remove impediments and dependencies as much as possible, escalate where appropriate when the squad is off track, and ensure they take appropriate action.
- Provision of appropriate levels of governance across assigned initiatives/projects.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements and Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience working in an IT or Infrastructure function(s).
- Infrastructure systems experience is essential to enable understanding of the initiatives.
- Experience in working with agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, or at least a core understanding of this way of working.
- Previous or current experience within engineering or project management/delivery is essential.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Must be able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Beneficial to have experience within platform services/platform engineering/cloud/infrastructure teams.
