Job Location: Dublin, Ireland & London, UK/ Hybrid

Job Type: 12 Months FTC

As an experienced Finance Transformation Business Analyst, you will have several years experience working in Finance and Corporate Treasury Transformation projects. You will have proven track record of implementing TMS projects and be able to utilise your experience working in Finance. You will have strong analytical, problem-solving, requirement management and elicitation skills.

You will be proactive, show due diligence, be able to work autonomously but also work collaboratively with your Project Team and stakeholders. Stakeholder Management and building strong business relationships is critical for this role.

As a Business Analyst at Beazley your core purpose is to build a strong understanding of end-to-end user journeys and processes to be able to accurately and efficiently elicit, challenge, and document requirements, processes and scope. You will be a key member of the Process Improvement & Innovation (PI&I) team, focusing on building the thing right whilst ensuring a happy tension within the team; balancing the trade-off between value, technical debt and building scalable solutions, essentially keeping an eye on building the right thing .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, configuring and implementing the TMS solution with FIS, our implementation partner, as well as building/ enhancing our BAU processes and controls;
  • Effectively partner with Treasury and Finance teams to ensure the TMS and surrounding BAU processes are developed and optimised for functionality, reporting, audit and control requirements;
  • Elicit, understand, challenge and translate the business value into requirements, creating appropriate user stories of the right quality at the right time;
  • Ensure traceability of requirements and user stories throughout the entire product lifecycle;
  • Ensure alignment between requirements, user stories and test output, including assisting User Acceptance Testing;
  • Work closely with the Product Owners to ensure that any user story is detailed, thorough and ready for configuration, owning the story from conception to final delivery of value;
  • Aid stakeholders in understanding trade-offs and achieving consensus;
  • Ensure solution designs align with Enterprise Architecture principles as well as any design principles and strategy decisions made within your product team or the platform, ensuring guidance is sought if necessary;
  • Proactively monitor and communicate industry, functional, and technology trends to stakeholders as well a coach them as to how best to harness these to drive business value;
  • Ensure that all key stakeholders receive clear and frequent updates regarding business analytical tasks and progress as necessary:
  • Adopt a data driven approach in all activities, not only when giving an opinion or arguing a point but being a guardian for how data flows through the organisation and how it must be respected as a key performance driver;
  • Build a relationship with your Product Owners, understand their business and challenges.

Personal Specification:

Education and Qualifications

  • Graduate education/qualifications or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).

Knowledge and Experience

  • Business Transformation;
  • Working experience in one or more of the following areas from within a corporate or non-bank financial services environment or as an advisor in a leading consultancy or from a treasury management system vendor:
  • Treasury and cash systems / technology; and
  • Treasury and cash operations and controls;
  • Deal lifecycle- deal entry to accounting output integration with ERP;
  • Treasury instruments- MMFs, Bonds, LOC s, Guarantees;
  • Strong knowledge of TMS s, experience with FIS Integrity is highly desirable (candidates with a strong profile in other similar TMS s will be considered);
  • Experienced in finance transformation projects/ programmes where you are implementing systems and improving processes through process re-engineering;
  • Understanding of best practice treasury processes with a focus on payments processing;
  • Experience in educating stakeholders regarding treasury related processes and how they translate to wider business impacts;
  • Good understanding of systems, banking and integration approaches;
  • Able to communicate to senior stakeholders and team members to identify issues and propose solutions;
  • Working experience in SWIFT services;
  • Working knowledge of treasury accounting
  • Working in an Agile environment;
  • Working with teams located across multiple time zones;
  • Data flow & contract analysis and definition;
  • Effective user story writing/management;
  • Skilled in the analysis and documentation of complex business processes;
  • Experience with multiple methods for the elicitation, validation, and documentation of requirements for complex Information Systems;
  • Experience working with global product teams, software providers, and outsourcers;
  • Understanding and/or experience in full lifecycle projects to deliver change in a treasury and cash management environment (not necessarily in a treasury function);
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment including project management skills; and
  • Able to communicate complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences.
