We are searching for a highly qualified Cloud Architect to help us aggressively expand our capability to deliver infrastructure transformation projects at scale. In your role, you will support the Head of Transformation Projects and the transformation team to design and deliver cloud migration projects for multiple customers across a broad range of industry verticals.

The Cloud Architect should have a strong infrastructure background in cloud architecture, design, and implementation specifically in Microsoft Azure, with other cloud platforms a bonus. As part of the newly founded team, you will contribute to the standards, processes & tooling of the Transformation team, defining the standards for delivery and quality in the Cloud space.

The role will be delivery focused, but you will also be involved end to end from pre-sales to implementation. You will get to meet a variety of customers and work across various industries to deliver successful outcomes. The Cloud Architect will work with the Programme Manager, other Technical Architects, Technical SMEs, customers and all relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery of the portfolio of projects within agreed standards for delivery and quality.

This is a hybrid role with presence in either the Hexaware offices or client locations when necessary. Ad hoc travel will be required depending on the customer or project.

Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong history of designing and implementing migrations to Azure.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
  • Ability to design and implement complex cloud solutions that meet business needs.
  • Strong, influential leader and team player with great interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders is a must.
  • Responsible, can-do attitude, determined to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills and ability to engage at all levels.
  • A good understanding of IT infrastructure across cloud platforms and on-premises, including networks, security & project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Create and document a templated project process for delivering cloud migrations in a structured, repeatable manner.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and design tailored Azure cloud solutions that align with their strategic objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure and cloud technologies to continuously improve solution offerings.
  • Coaching junior team members to develop their cloud expertise.

Experience

  • 10+ years of commercial experience as an Infrastructure Architect and/or Engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience as Cloud Architect or similar role.
  • Experience in large scale transformation and migration in the infrastructure space, specifically to Azure.
  • Experience in other cloud platforms (AWS, OCI) is a plus.
  • Experience & conceptual understanding of the following: Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification e.g. Azure Solution Architect Expert.
  • Other certifications are a plus.
