Job Description: Business Analyst for Investment Desktop
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including Fund Owners, Operations & Compliance teams, IT professionals, to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.
2. Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and gaps. Work with data teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate data ingestion.
3. Domain data modeling: Understand the Fund owner s data, analyze data integrity and create foundational domain data model for consumption.
4. Functional Documentation: Understand data consumption aspects by different personas, create detailed functional specifications for data consumption, use cases, and user stories to communicate business requirements to development and IT teams.
5. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and collaborate with testing teams to ensure that data changes align with business needs and perform as expected.
6. Change Management: Assist in developing change management strategies and training materials to ensure a smooth transition to business.
7. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met, and issues are resolved promptly.
8. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all changes and enhancements to foundational data model and consumption data model are in compliance with UK regulations.
9. Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, communicate progress, and address concerns or questions related to the transformation program.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial industry, preferably with exposure to Fund Management / Owner s domain.
Strong understanding of Capital Markets data, including reference data, market data, Portfolio data, asset valuation, performance measurement, reconciliation, and Compliance
Familiarity with financial instruments and investment strategies is added advantage.
BAs should be comfortable working Power BI & databases.
Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making. Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and data visualization is required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with IT teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts
