We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst for our Surrey Head Office location. This position shall be responsible for creating and interpreting complex financial models, reports, and presentations to support financial planning and control.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supporting month-end activities and analyzing financial actions.
- Preparing recommendations for policies, procedures, and controls.
- Assessing current and future financial performance, identifying trends, and suggesting improvements.
- Interpreting financial policies, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Evaluating profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
- Conducting research and preparing economic reports on topics like ROI, depreciation, working capital, and investment performance.
- Assisting in budget development and preparing financial documents and reports.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 5 years combined experience in accounting and finance.
- Previous experience strongly desired in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
- 3+ years of experience as an Analyst in manufacturing industry and thorough understanding of inventory flow.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their accounting designation or master’s in finance.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications (Power BI, Word, Access, PowerPoint); Dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Solid knowledge of accounting functions and good financial modeling skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Must demonstrate flexibility, strong commitment to meeting deadlines, and accountability.
