About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior Superyacht Tender Designer to join one of the UK’s leading boat builders. Working as part of a collaborative design and engineering team, you will play a key role in developing high-end superyacht tenders from concept through to manufacture. From bow to stern, you’ll be involved in designing every aspect of the vessel, ensuring each tender not only performs to the highest standards but also reflects the cutting‑edge styling expected within the luxury yacht industry. Working Hours

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:00am – 11:00am

This role is strictly office‑based only due to the close integration between the design and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings for superyacht tenders
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal production teams throughout the build process
  • Design components and assemblies with manufacturability in mind
  • Contribute to the development of innovative design solutions and new products
  • Support prototype development and continuous product improvement
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, creativity, and attention to detail

Skills & Experience

The following skills are desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience with NURBS-based modelling software, ideally Rhino 8
  • Knowledge of alternative CAD platforms such as SolidWorks would be advantageous
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes including laminating, moulding, CNC milling, and 3D printing
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Ideally 1+ years’ experience within the marine industry or a similar design/manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of marine terminology
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and explore new ideas
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Good ability to translate ideas through hand drawn sketches
