Role & Responsibilities:

  • Possess 15-18 years of work experience as a business consultant in the water industry.
  • Water Industry-Specific Expertise: Provide in-depth knowledge of the UK water utility industry, including regulatory requirements, operational processes, and customer service challenges. Use this expertise to guide project outcomes and ensure compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the water utility industry to identify business challenges, define requirements, and recommend process improvements. Act as a bridge between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements, translating them into user stories and acceptance criteria for data-driven solutions in the water industry.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data insights to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Work with the Data & AI team to translate business needs into actionable data strategies and solutions.
  • Project Management and Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, documentation, and solution implementation. Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Change Management and Training: Support the adoption of new processes, systems, or technologies by creating training materials, conducting workshops, and ensuring smooth transitions for stakeholders.
  • Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key business stakeholders, including project managers, IT teams, and business partners, to ensure alignment of data and AI initiatives with organisational goals.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for compelling storytelling.
  • Engage with business and technology stakeholders, collect necessary information, comprehend client expectations, clarify details through workshops, and propose and discuss optimal solutions.
  • Work closely with the pre-sales, account, and sales teams, providing support throughout all phases of Data & AI deal pursuits and expand existing projects.

You Must Possess:

  • Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and basic knowledge of Python or SQL.
  • Knowledge of Data & AI concepts, particularly in applications relevant to the water utility sector.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of UK water industry regulations, such as OFWAT guidelines, and the ability to incorporate these into business solutions.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex data insights and industry-specific concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Experience mentoring junior analysts or leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving team performance.
  • Drive meaningful customer conversations and achieve positive business outcomes.
  • Engage with clients effectively, build strong business networks, and play a key role in achieving successful outcomes for clients.
  • Maintains an active learning approach, staying current with industry trends, and applying these insights to develop solutions, initiate new projects, and shape capability roadmaps.
  • Client office two days a week.
