We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our IT development team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating the Scrum process and ensuring the team adheres to Agile principles and practices. This role is based in the UK and will support our development efforts by working closely with our globally distributed dev-team based out of India and our client in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Organize and lead daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure effective and efficient team communication and collaboration.
- Agile Coaching: Coach the development team in self-organization and cross-functionality. Guide the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles or impediments that hinder the team's progress. Act as a buffer between the team and any distracting influences.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage and support the team in continuous improvement of processes and practices. Implement best practices and tools for Agile development and project management.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress. Ensure that the team's progress and performance are transparent and visible to all stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an IT development environment. Proven experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
- Skills and Competencies: MS Dynamics hands-on experience. Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices. Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities. Proficiency with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work effectively in a remote and multicultural environment. Experience with Microsoft Teams. Understanding of working with different cultures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with hybrid European/India teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
