The Senior Transaction Manager plays a central role in structuring, coordinating, and executing complex transactions from initial opportunity assessment through to completion. Acting as a key liaison across internal functions, the role ensures that commercial objectives, risk considerations, legal requirements, and operational capabilities are fully aligned throughout the deal lifecycle. The position requires sound commercial judgement, and the ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder processes while maintaining momentum and delivering transactions accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Business Development Managers (“BDM”), providing guidance on internal best practices and supporting the optimisation of business conversion.
  • Lead the early stages of transaction development, including drafting indicative offer terms and initial transaction structures based on discussions with BDMs, clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Clearly articulate proposed product offerings and deal structures in a manner that aligns with commercial objectives, risk appetite, and operational feasibility.
  • Build a strong understanding of product offerings, including relevant technical accounting considerations, and provide informed guidance to clients and internal teams throughout the transaction process.
  • Take ownership of the full transaction lifecycle, ensuring all internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk Management, Operations, Finance) are aligned, engaged, and prepared to meet target timelines.
  • Oversee operational readiness, working closely with the Operations team to confirm feasibility, identify potential issues early, and ensure smooth onboarding and implementation.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and controlled execution of all transactions, proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impact delivery.
  • Lead project requirements analysis for new clients, preparing comprehensive reports and presenting findings as required.
  • Attend weekly BDM calls to maintain visibility of the pipeline and provide support as necessary.
  • Coordinate and take responsibility for drafting and submitting request for information / proposals ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience in banking, inventory management, or structured finance transactions.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex, and multi‑stakeholder projects in fast‑paced environments.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
  • High level of commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial, legal, and operational considerations.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
