A leading UK developer is looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to take the reins on a complex, fast-moving residential scheme in Woking Town Centre. This is a No.1 on-site leadership role, overseeing the delivery of 72 social housing units across three low-rise blocks. The project is progressing well – the blocks are nearly watertight – but the challenges lie in the detail: tight logistics, self-managed material supply, and the need for strong coordination across the board.
You will be supported by a team of three Assistant Site Managers and will report into a visiting Contracts Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead all site operations, managing the day-to-day activity and programme delivery
- Coordinate a complex logistics strategy, including direct material purchasing and on-site distribution
- Ensure NHBC standards are rigorously met – quality control and compliance are non-negotiable
- Act as the main point of contact for client liaison and key stakeholder updates
- Oversee site safety, labour management, and drive programme milestones
- Support delivery of a significant Section 278 works package toward the end of the scheme
- Proven track record as a Senior Site Manager on residential schemes of similar scale
- Strong understanding of NHBC standards, QA processes and delivery to social housing spec
- Experience managing tight inner-town logistics and direct material procurement
- Confident leadership style with the ability to manage and mentor a site team
- Solid client-facing and communication skills
This is a great opportunity to lead a well-funded, well-supported scheme through to completion with a respected developer that takes pride in quality and delivery.
