Main contractor seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee a high-profile Cut & Carve project in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident site manager who can take the lead when the Project Manager is not on-site. The role involves managing an office extension and alteration project from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Act as the primary site lead in the absence of the Project Manager, ensuring seamless project progression.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and act as a key point of contact for the client, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Direct, mentor, and support the site team, ensuring all work complies with construction, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to site safety and quality standards.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, identifying and resolving issues promptly to avoid delays.
  • Contribute to process improvements, reducing turnaround times and enhancing project efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports, analyse project data, and address any problem areas proactively.
  • Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Background in trades with additional qualifications in construction or site management.
  • Experience in managing Cut & Carve projects from start to finish.
  • SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS Card required.
  • Proven ability to lead a site team and manage a project independently in the absence of the Project Manager.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project/Powerproject, and other relevant software.
