We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in the heart of Manchester city centre. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a landmark development from construction through to completion, working alongside leading consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for programme delivery, budget management, contractor coordination, and ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major student accommodation development
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, risk registers, and reporting processes
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and supply chain partners
  • Chair project meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, planning, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor quality standards throughout all construction phases
  • Drive programme performance and resolve project challenges proactively
  • Manage stakeholder relationships including investors, local authorities, and delivery partners
  • Support procurement and contract administration activities
Requirements
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale residential, PBSA, or mixed-use developments
  • Strong construction project management background
  • Experience managing projects within city-centre environments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget control experience
  • Knowledge of UK construction regulations and health & safety standards
  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline preferred
  • Professional accreditation (APM, RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) desirable
