Main contractor requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on-site to manage the commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of a live industrial, logistics, or commercial project. There are several live and upcoming projects in the Home Counties to the North and West of London, so location may vary depending on project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial function, lead a project team, and work within a company committed to the professional growth of all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver full commercial and contractual management of the project
- Oversee subcontract procurement, valuations, and payment approvals
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial controls
- Manage change, variations, and commercial risk
- Develop junior commercial staff and support succession planning
- Liaise with clients, supply chain, and internal teams to drive performance
- Ensure compliance with company SHEQ policies and procedures
Ideal Candidate:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant commercial discipline
- Strong main contracting experience (industrial/logistics preferred)
- Contractual knowledge (JCT/NEC) and commercial acumen
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills
- Effective communicator and leader
