Due to an increase in project pipeline and recent company growth, a market leading mission critical principal contractor is actively recruiting an Electrical Engineer for a brand new data centre project in Slough. This role will suit someone that is career ambitious and sees themselves as an Electrical Project Manager in the not-so-distant future.

In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous; however, it is not a necessity. Project delivery ability, proven track record, teamwork ability, and knowledge of electrical installation are the key factors.

You will be working for a market leading contractor that operates a diverse business model and demands modern health and safety and employee engagement practices. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a contractor with a long term pipeline in the UK.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Main responsibility will be to oversee the timely and cost efficient delivery of the whole electrical package.
  • Familiarisation of Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of the Project works.
  • Assisting the Installation Package team to manage the project's quality needs on-site, ensuring compliance throughout.
  • Management of the technical submittal and approvals.
  • Ensure works are installed in accordance with Project specifications.
  • Management of Sub-contractors and ensuring adequate information flow to ensure works progress in line with the Project Schedule and Weekly Meeting logged.
Electrical Engineer Background:
  • ~3-5 years experience working with a recognised Electrical contractor.
  • ~ Data centre experience desirable.
  • ~ Excellent organizational and project planning skills.
  • ~ Proficient in the use of Navisworks and Database systems related to Engineering functions.
  • ~ Familiar with Project/Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM process.
