Document Controller to work with a main contractor across a groundbreaking retirement village project in Surrey that is due to run well into 2026. As an experienced Document Controller, with relevant experience working on a construction site, you will ensure that the project team has access to accurate and up-to-date information, helping to maintain efficient project workflows and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and organize project-related documents such as drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
- Ensure construction records are compiled and maintained in good time, including but not limited to: RFIs, Technical Submittals, Delivery Dockets, Labour Statistics, and Monthly Progress Reports.
- Verify that documents comply with industry regulations, contractual requirements, and company standards.
- Prepare, operate, and update Document Control Procedures in line with the Company\’s Document Management System.
- Maintain distribution lists to ensure that the right stakeholders receive the latest and relevant documents.
- Keep track of document versions to ensure that all team members are working with the most recent and accurate information.
- Manage revisions and updates to documents and communicate changes to relevant parties.
- Address queries related to document management and assist team members in locating specific documents.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers, architects, contractors, and clients, to facilitate effective communication.
- Generate regular reports on the status of documents, highlighting any issues, delays, or concerns.
- Undertaking any administrative duties as necessitated by changing business needs.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 1 year experience working on a construction site in a similar role.
- Good time management skills & ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational & communication skills.
