Main contractor seeking an experienced Quality & Environmental Manager to take ownership of their Q&E function. Based in London with regular site visits across the UK, this role offers the chance to shape, implement and continuously improve company-wide standards and systems. You’ll oversee the Quality and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring compliance across all projects while driving innovation and best practice. The role will also involve training teams, embedding digital tools, and maintaining key ISO certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the company’s Quality & Environmental Management Systems in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Support project and office teams with compliance, audits and best-practice guidance
- Lead the rollout of Procore, becoming a Super User and training staff across the business
- Carry out regular site visits and audits to ensure consistency and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with safety personnel to align Q&E procedures with ISO 45001
- Prepare and maintain key documentation and reports for senior management
- Provide input into tenders and PQQ submissions when required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of large construction projects, ideally with a main contractor
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and train teams
- Excellent IT skills, including familiarity with construction management software
- Organised, proactive and committed to high standards in quality and sustainability
