- We are currently recruiting for an experienced
- Logistics Manager to join a major construction project in
Nine Elms, London .
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the overall site logistics operation, working in a busy, high-traffic environment with significant vehicle movements, deliveries and pedestrian activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day logistics operation across the construction site.
- Coordinate and control heavy traffic and vehicle movements around the site.
- Manage deliveries, loading/unloading areas and site access.
- Coordinate banksmen, traffic marshals, logistics supervisors and labourers.
- Plan delivery schedules and ensure vehicles arrive safely and efficiently.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and site management.
- Maintain safe pedestrian and vehicle segregation.
- Manage site logistics plans and ensure they are followed.
- Monitor site housekeeping, storage and material movements.
- Lead and manage the logistics team.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with site Health & Safety requirements.
- Attend logistics and site coordination meetings.
- Resolve day-to-day access, delivery and traffic issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a
Logistics Manager on a major construction project .
- Previous experience working in
Nine Elms, Vauxhall, Battersea or similarly high-traffic London locations would be highly desirable.
- Strong experience managing heavy vehicle movements and complex site logistics .
- Experience managing a team of logistics operatives.
- Good knowledge of construction site Health & Safety.
- CSCS required;
SMSTS/SSSTS and CPCS/NPORS advantageous.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deliveries and competing site requirements.
- Experience working for a main contractor preferred.
