Previous data centre experience would be highly beneficial, although candidates from other large-scale industrial or commercial project backgrounds will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce and maintain accurate project reporting to ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved in support of the wider project team.
  • Review and become fully familiar with all design documentation, IFC drawings, and project specifications to gain a complete understanding of the project scope. Oversee the coordination process and work closely with BIM teams to develop detailed installation drawings in line with project specifications and programme requirements.
  • Support the installation and delivery teams in maintaining the highest quality standards on-site, ensuring all works comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier tender submissions to assess technical compliance with the project design intent and specifications.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure engineering activities, including procurement and technical submissions, align with the overall project schedule and do not impact delivery timelines.
  • Manage the technical submittal process, including tracking approvals and ensuring all documentation is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all electrical installations are completed in accordance with project specifications, QA procedures, and commissioning requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, maintaining clear communication channels to ensure works progress in line with project programmes and weekly coordination meetings.
  • Identify and implement innovative engineering methods and processes that improve efficiency, quality, and project delivery timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of subcontractor and supplier tender packages alongside the commercial and quantity surveying teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a recognised electrical contractor on large-scale construction projects.
  • Previous data centre experience would be advantageous, although candidates from other mission-critical or industrial sectors will also be considered.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced project environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of Navisworks and engineering-related database systems.
  • Good understanding of project planning software such as Primavera, along with experience working within CAD/BIM environments.
