A leading specialist mechanical contractor that specialises in the delivery of impressive life sciences, mission critical, chemical and oil & gas projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe is actively looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor for a brand new £50 million life sciences scheme in Denmark. This is the next project in a big pipeline for the same client and they have big plans to expand across the Nordic region with several projects in the pipeline for the next two years making it an ideal time for a career driven Quantity Surveyor to join the business. The ideal candidate does not have to have to come from a strong mechanical background however a good base knowledge of mechanical install packages is essential. The life sciences sector is currently one of the fastest growing sectors in construction and is only going to grow larger with more and more clients and contractors entering the industry.
Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the commercial & surveying aspects on sites
- Drafting weekly, monthly & quarterly reports
- Managing budgets & commercial tasks on major residential schemes
- Cost control
- Preparing tenders, procuring subcontractors & materials
- Liaising with both production & technical teams
