Mechanical Project Engineer - Wastewater Upgrade in Preston

A specialist utilities and infrastructure contractor with huge presence across the UK and Ireland is actively seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for a large scale wastewater upgrade project in the West Lancashire region. This is a long term freelance role, starting in December with a minimum of 18 months on the contract. However, given their pipeline in the area they are very open to a temp to perm idea for the right candidate. The ideal candidate must have experience managing design, install and commissioning of mechanical packages on large scale utilities, infrastructure or renewable energy projects. Mechanical Engineer Key Responsibilities: * Management of all day-to-day site operations * Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades, Package Leads, consulting Engineer and Client requirements * Management of all costs associated with your package * Attendance at Site Meetings, Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings and Handover Meetings * Maintain weekly project diary * Liaise with subcontractors Mechanical Engineer Key Requirements: * Relevant Building Services qualifications * 5-7 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role * Design experience * Excellent, team working, organisational and planning skills * Travel flexibility * Career ambitious If you would like to find out more please contact Niall on (phone number removed)
