We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team on a large-scale residential development at Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role on a flagship housing scheme comprising over 500 new homes.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience delivering high-volume residential developments from inception through to completion, with a strong background in managing all stages of the construction process. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of coordinating multiple subcontractors, maintaining programme, driving quality, and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a major residential development.
  • Lead and coordinate all site activities from groundworks through to final handover.
  • Deliver homes safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage subcontractors, site teams and suppliers to achieve project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and NHBC standards.
  • Chair site meetings, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
  • Monitor programme performance and proactively resolve site issues.
  • Maintain excellent quality control and oversee snagging and handover processes.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Technical, Commercial and Customer Care teams.
  • Produce site reports, monitor progress and maintain project documentation.
  • Drive productivity whilst promoting a positive safety culture across the project.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale residential developments.
  • Demonstrable 360° housing experience, managing projects from site setup and infrastructure through to completion and customer handover.
  • Experience delivering developments of 500+ homes or multiple-phase residential schemes.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing and residential build programmes.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate complex site operations.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
Qualifications
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Black Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • NVQ Level 6 (or above) in Construction Site Management (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
  • Experience working with national housebuilders.
  • NHBC Pride in the Job experience.
  • Strong understanding of NHBC standards and Building Regulations.
  • Experience delivering mixed-tenure developments, including private sale and affordable housing.
