Join one of Europe’s leading data centre contractors who are seeking a Mechanical Package Manager for a brand-new project in Groningen. As the Mechanical Package Manager, you will work for an innovative, forward-thinking contractor that operates a diverse business model. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Package Manager to transfer into a booming sector which will continue to do so over the coming years. The data centre sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in construction and the need for its infrastructure will continue to grow for years to come. With the order book full for another 5+ years, there is excellent scope for a high-performing Mechanical Package Manager to play a crucial part in this growth. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience, determination and be focused on delivering leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors, including data centre and pharmaceutical. In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous however not a necessity. Responsibilities: – Lead and manage the execution of mechanical packages across multiple projects. – Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure the successful delivery of mechanical systems. – Coordinate with engineering teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure mechanical design and installation meet project requirements. – Conduct regular project reviews, ensuring progress is on track and risks are identified and mitigated. – Manage the mechanical design, procurement, and installation process, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. – Provide technical support to the project teams, addressing design and operational issues as they arise. – Work closely with project stakeholders to communicate progress, resolve issues, and manage expectations. – Develop and monitor mechanical project schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines. – Support the commissioning process to ensure all mechanical systems are fully functional and meet client specifications. – Ensure all project documentation is completed, accurate, and delivered on time. Requirements: – Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. – Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical package management, ideally within the construction, industrial, or engineering sectors. – Proven experience managing large mechanical projects from design through to commissioning. – Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. – Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead teams, manage resources, and meet deadlines. – Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. – Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. – Proficiency with project management software and tools.
