Due to continued growth within their data centre division, they are now seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship data centre project in Frankfurt. As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial and contractual management of the project from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, and clients, you will ensure commercial performance is maintained while supporting the successful delivery of a high-profile data centre development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, and detailed estimates across all project phases
- Managing procurement activities, tender processes, and subcontractor packages
- Monitoring project costs and maintaining strict cost control measures
- Assessing valuations, variations, and agreeing final accounts
- Providing commercial guidance and support to project delivery teams
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and relevant regulations
- Assisting with forecasting, reporting, and identifying commercial risks
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years’ post-graduate experience, ideally with a main contractor
- Previous experience within data centre, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical environments would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management principles
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
