A leading UK main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a landmark £70m Build to Rent scheme in the heart of Manchester, with works commencing on site this summer. This high-profile, city-centre development will comprise a multi-storey residential tower delivering high-specification rental apartments, premium resident amenity space, and associated infrastructure. The scheme forms part of a wider regeneration programme and represents a significant addition to Manchester’s growing BTR market. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to take full operational control of a major residential project from early site mobilisation through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the project from site start through to practical completion
  • Manage site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Ensure programme, quality, and budget targets are achieved
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes
  • Drive health & safety standards and ensure full compliance
  • Chair progress meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale residential or high-rise schemes (£50m+)
  • Strong background with a reputable main contractor

  • Strong understanding of construction programming and project controls
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant construction qualifications
