Falcon Green is working with a specialist mechanical contractor that is focused on delivering complex building services packages on large residential and commercial builds across London. Due to planned and continued growth, they now require a competent Senior Quantity Surveyor for a number of upcoming projects with one of London’s leading developers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the M&E market across a variety of projects and a proven track record of taking complex mechanical packages through to completion in budget. This is a massive opportunity for someone that is career driven, to get into a family run business with an excellent reputation.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities
  • To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
  • Prepare and monitor project cashflow forecasts.
  • Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
  • Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Prepare, submit and negotiate project final accounts.
  • Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at the project level.
  • Preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets.
  • Monitoring changes to continuously identify the status of costs.
  • Driving value by exploring all areas of value engineering with contractors and consultants to achieve best value design that is fit for purpose.
  • Develop robust and inclusive definitions of the scope of the works and in accordance with Build Specification.
  • Preparing scope and works and trade packages.
To apply for the role the Quantity Surveyor must have the following:
  • 5+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor position.
  • Degree or college equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven track record in a similar position focused on the M&E sector.
  • Either RICS/CIOB desirable.
  • Drive and a previous track record of delivering projects to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to plan work in a strategic and methodological manner.
  • Career ambitious with a plan to climb the ladder.
