Due to continued growth within their data centre division, they are now seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship data centre project in Frankfurt. As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial and contractual management of the project from pre‑construction through to final account. Working closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, and clients, you will ensure commercial performance is maintained while supporting the successful delivery of a high‑profile data centre development.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, and detailed estimates across all project phases
- Managing procurement activities, tender processes, and subcontractor packages
- Monitoring project costs and maintaining strict cost control measures
- Assessing valuations, variations, and agreeing final accounts
- Providing commercial guidance and support to project delivery teams
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and relevant regulations
- Assisting with forecasting, reporting, and identifying commercial risks
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years' post‑graduate experience, ideally with a main contractor
- Previous experience within data centre, pharmaceutical, or other mission‑critical environments would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management principles
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
