Falcon Green is delighted to be partnering with one of Europe’s leading and most reputable contractors, renowned for delivering major projects across the Data Centre, Education, Healthcare, and Life Sciences sectors. They are currently seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to join a high-performing team on a Data Centre project in Groningen. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive EHS professional to support site leadership in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on a high-profile project. The ideal candidate will bring experience in large-scale or mission-critical construction environments and a strong, hands-on approach to EHS delivery. Please note: Employment will be in accordance with local labour laws. A competitive package is on offer, including base salary, living allowance, accommodation, regular flights, and a performance-based bonus.
Key Responsibilities of the EHS Advisor
- Support the implementation and maintenance of all Environmental, Health & Safety systems on site.
- Promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership and engagement.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Advise site management, subcontractors, and operatives on EHS best practices and legal requirements.
- Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Dutch and EU Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
- Review method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work documentation.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and EHS training as required.
- Support regulatory inspections and external audits.
EHS Advisor Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental, or a related discipline.
- Recognised EHS qualification (NEBOSH, HVK, or equivalent).
- 3–7 years’ experience in an EHS role within construction or mission-critical environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Dutch Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, site-based, and solutions-focused approach.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are highly desirable.
